One Acorn, One OAK
An acorn found is an unborn tree
handle it very delicately
examine with careful expectations
results become favorable
furrow back the fertile soil
carefully place the precious seed
cover with wholesome darkness
let germination begin
give it nutriments of mentorship
cultivate the early moments
soon an apprenticeship develops
growth seeps forth, then light
penetrates darkness
the seed grasps for nourishment
and desires further light
crescent strands break the topsoil
tentacles unfurl into new foliage
expression reaches for the sky's
beckon and passes
through ancient plateaus
survive the weathering frost
of question the young plant
cries out for more light
and there comes more light
blue skies spring forth with vigor
warmth strengthens the young sprig
nature and man work together to raise
the emerging stalk with a lion's roar
and grip
fruition radiates outwardly its fruitfulness
the Oak becomes its own Master
the cycle begins
