The Three Degrees of Masonry in Summary!

  • Entered Apprentice
  • Fellowcraft
  • Masters Mason
  • For more Infomation

Our ancient and honorable fraternity welcomes to its doors, and admits to its privileges, worthy men of all faiths and creeds who posses the indispensable qualifications. Freemasonry is, in one of its major aspects, a beautiful and profound system of morality, veiled in allegories and illustrated by symbols.

These purposes are accomplished by means of a series of moral instructions taught, according to ancient usage, by allegories, symbols, types, figures and lectures.

One proceeds as all others have done who have gong this way before.

When an EA has passed a satisfactory examination thereon, he can be passed to the second degree or Fellowcraft Mason's Degree.

-An abreviated statement

This degree is divided into two sections, the first of which is entirely ceremonial, and the Lecture pertaining to the same is a recapitulation of the ceremonies used on the occasion, and should be well understood by every member of the Lodge, and more especially, by the officers. While it extends the plan of knowledge commenced in the first degree, it comprehends a more extensive system of learning, and inculcates, in our peculair methods, the most important truths of science.

Such is the nature of one's engagement as a Fellowcraft, and to these duties one is bound by the most sacred and solemn ties.

-An abreviated statement

Freemasonry, as before stated, is progressive, and a knowledge of its philosophy and teachings can only be acquired by time, patience, perseverance and close application.

As a Fellowcraft and after passing a satisfactory examination as to one's proficiency therein, can be raised to the third or sublime degree of a Master Mason.

The third degree cements the whole, and is calculated to bind men together by mystic ties of fellowship, as in a bond of fraternal affection and brotherly love.
